Thank you for being an integral part of our capital campaign.

With the help of visionary supporters like you, we have begun to make considerable progress toward our goals. We have already accomplished two of our 3 projects: In April 2012, we opened the doors to the new Hornell Health Center and in June 2014, we began seeing patients in our new 16,000 square foot Ithaca Health and Education Center. Over the next year and a half, with your generous help, we will complete renovations on a new Corning Health and Education Center.

Our three new health centers will all feature waiting rooms that allow each patient to be comfortably seated in a clean, modern, and professional setting. Off-street parking will promote patient safety and convenience and protect patients from protesters. Redesigned clinical areas will have better nursing stations and capacity for electronic medical records. Increased number of exam rooms will allow for more appointment times and faster, more efficient visits. Patients will be able to check in and out with privacy.

These three projects together will cost $8 million, the majority of which will be raised through our $6.35 million capital campaign.

Thank you for taking the time to learn more about our work and our campaign. I hope you are inspired to support A Time to Build: The Campaign for Planned Parenthood, and the mission that our projects and your generous donations will support:

Our mission is to promote healthy sexuality and reproductive choice through exceptional

services, honest education, and fearless advocacy.

Who We Are; What We Do

Today, PPSFL operates five health centers across the Southern Finger Lakes region, in Ithaca, Elmira, Corning, Hornell, and Watkins Glen.  Our award-winning educators visit schools, places of worship, and community centers in every county we serve. Our Sexual Assault Resource Center (SARC) staff and volunteers provide direct care to victims and their families in Steuben, Schuyler, and Chemung counties.

In 2013, our skilled health care professionals provided high-quality, affordable medical care in 20,600 patient visits, and our amazing programming staff reached 16,700 people with essential information about sexuality, decision-making, sexual assault prevention, and much more.

Some providers offer some of the services we provide at PPSFL, but there is no single agency in our four-county region that provides all of the services that PPSFL does for all patients, regardless of income or insurance coverage.
